Novak Djokovic likely to miss ATP Finals
Novak Djokovic missed out a lot of tournaments this year and because of this he might miss the prestigious ATP Finals in Turin – where only top eight players are qualified to be in the tournament.
In order to be qualified to play in the ATP, tennis players must accumulate enough points to land on the top eight. Every year, players will be evaluated based on how they perform within the year. Djokovic misses important ATP 1000 tournaments including the US Open and the one in Canada. He also did not participate, rather did not play in Australia which is very crucial to climb on the ATP ranking. His only chances might be his participation in the Paris Masters. He dominated the tournament last year and there is a huge possibility that he might do it again. There are confirmed several small tournaments where Djokovic will participate as well as his participation in Tel Aviv.
Including in the top eight Stefano tsitsipas at fourth spot, Daniil Medvedev at fifth, Andrey Rublev, at sixth, Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada at seventh, and completing the top eight is Alexander Zverev of Germany.

After that tournament, he underwent surgery to repair his meniscus cartilage on right knee, his third surgery in his career. “Roger has been one of my idols and a source of inspiration! Thank you for everything you have done for our sport! I still want to play with you! I wish you all the luck in the world for what comes next!” Carlos Alcaraz said (cited from tennisworldusa.org). The young Spanish sensation is still hopeful to share a court with the Swiss legend in the future.
