Lots of big contracts were made last summer transfer window and most of them did not disappoint. Some of these players made a mark in the opening games, while some are making progress and displaying long-term potentials for their new sides.  Here are the performances of the biggest signings from the previous window. We have a soccer tipster available for you to hit the online jackpot!

Sadio Mane (Bayern Munich)

Bayern Munich did not have to suffer the impact of the departure of their goal-scoring talisman Robert Lewandowski, as their summer signing Sadio Mane is filling the gaps. The Senegal forward, who netted over 100 goals for the Reds, has already scored three goals in his first three league games for the Bundesliga champions. He also won his first silverware with the German outfit.

Mane opened his new campaign with a 1-6 victory at Frankfurt where he scored his debut goal for Bavaria followed by a brace in the 7-0 demolition at Bochum. He also scored one in the German Super Cup and one in a pre-season friendly that makes it five in total since signing a three-year contract from Liverpool, who have drawn two and lost one of their opening three matches of the English league.

Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona)

Robert Lewandowski remains unstoppable in scoring goals. The 34-year-old has scored three times for Barca since moving from Bayern. He opened the lead for Barca in the Joan Gamper Trophy win and scored twice to help them win the second league game of the season against Real Sociedad 4-1, their first win of the campaign after settling for a goal in the opening.

On the day of his birthday, he scored his first La Liga goal in 42 second, the club’s faster LaLiga goal since Andres Iniesta vs Recreativo in 2009 (43 seconds) and the earliest away goal in the league since Javier Saviola vs Real Valladolid in 2004 (30 seconds). Undoubtedly, Lewandowski is going to be successful with Barca. But, they have a lot of catching up to do to dethrone their rivals and holders Real Madrid.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

The Norwegian wonderboy is having a fine start with the English Premier League champions,  scoring two goals on his Premier League debut against West Ham United and netting another in the 3-3 draw against Newcastle. In the match against Bournemouth, Haaland had as many touches (eight) as Romelu Lukaku did when playing with Chelsea last season—the fewest by a player in the Premier League.

He also completed just two passes in that game–the lowest total for a City player under Guardiola. The former Borussia Dortmund forward was doubted as early as the curtain-raiser Community Shield where Pep Guardiola’s men were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool. However, Haaland remains the player to watch out for the rest of the reason.

Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan)

Like Werner, Romelu Lukaku also made his return to his former side from Chelsea last transfer window, moving back to Inter Milan on season-loan. The Belgium international, who scored only 8 goals in 26 matches during his second spell at Stamford Bridge, only needed 82 seconds to mark his Inter return with a goal, setting up the 2-1 win against newly-promoted Lecce. In the second game, Inter also won 3-0 over Spezia, but Lukaku failed to get on the scoresheet and recorded an assist instead.

Timo Werner (RB Leipzig)

Timo Werner scored on his return to German top-flight, opening the lead for RB Leipzig in a 2-2 draw against Cologne. The record Leipzig goal-scorer completes his return to former side RB Leipzig from Chelsea where he scored 23 goals in 89 games. Despite the poor start of his side, drawing back-to-back games before losing to Union Berlin 2-1, Werner displayed a superb return and he has more in store.

Gareth Bale (Los Angeles FC)

Gareth Bale joined MLS side Los Angeles FC this summer after his nine-year spell at Real Madrid concluded. The 33-year Wales captain is yet to make a start for LAFC, but he has already scored twice in five substitute appearances to help his new club keep the 9 points advantage at the top of the Western Conference table. As his fitness continues to improve, Bale will certainly make it to the XI soon.
