Wolves ended their losing streak with a motivation as they crushed Nottingham Forest 1-0. Forest deleted the awkward tweet. Follow for today’s football match news here!

The Forest is still stuck at the bottom of the standings after Ruben Neves sinked the penalty at the 56th minute mark – as Wolves secured a must-win game at home. For English football scores quick updates here!

A Managerless Wolves out of the relegation spot as Neves secured a penalty and Jose Sa made an outstanding save from Brennan Johnson’s penalty despite having a broken wrist. The Wolves’ pleasure or victory was leveled up by Nottingham’s pre-match social media banter. The Nottingham official twitter post showed Emmanuel Dennis with the three wolf cubs with the caption “Playtime” anticipating the victory of Forest over Wolves. But the twitter deleted later after Forest learned that they will blow this game. Neves already shared the post to his teammates in the players’ chat.  After the match, Wolves’ media posted a rebuttal with a tweet of their open “Playtime’s over” – and a picture of an embossed ax chopped down a tree.

“We were aware of it and we were going to use it in the team to talk but Ruben said he ‘d already shared it, so I didn’t really need to say anything more. I think you can get motivated from that,” Davis said. “I understand Ruben’s had a bite back now [the captain also had some fun on Instagram after the game]. Playtime’s over.”

Forest’s pre-match tweet labeled as “shocking” and embarrassing

Wolves Captain Ruben Neves used Forest’ twitter post as an inspiration to end Wolves’ misery this season as he scored a penalty kick to electrify the Molineux stadium and embarrassed Forest by locking them to the bottom of the standing. Jose Sa made the final seal as he made a heroic save, despite having an injury of a broken bone in a wrist as he gained it against Fulham last August 13.

“It was the other (wrist) thankfully,” said Davis. “He has played through it. A lot of players can play through pain. Some can’t. Fair play to jose to show courage at that moment.”

Davis was asked if Sa’s injury was dangerous, he responded: It depends where the break is. If his wrist is hanging off he is not going to play. It is the severity of the damage. The player has an X-ray and together with the coach decides whether the risk is worth it.”

This victory is very sentimental for stand-in Boss Davis as he is also a longtime Wolves fan. The search for a permanent replacement for Bruno lage’s position continues and the lack of goal threat remains Wolves’ biggest problem.
