In a much-awaited announcement, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Wednesday that a total of nine matches have been rescheduled for the upcoming 50-over World Cup, set to take place later this year. This shift in the schedule, which comes after the usual yearly announcement, aims to address logistical challenges that arose following requests from various cricket boards. The tickets for this grand event are slated to be available for purchase starting from August 25.

India Vs Pakistan

Originally, the India vs. Pakistan clash was slated for October 15 in Ahmedabad. However, due to the adjustments, cricket fans will now witness this intense showdown on October 14 at the same venue. This alteration, motivated by the desire to enhance the experience for both players and fans, is seen as a positive step towards ensuring the pinnacle event of the one-day game is a memorable one.

“The anticipation for the World Cup has reached a fever pitch, and we encourage the countless cricket devotees worldwide to register their interest starting next week. This will ensure you’re among the first to receive updates about ticket availability,” stated Chris Tetley, the ICC’s head of events. With this schedule amendment, the ICC is striving to guarantee that players and fans alike have the utmost satisfaction during this monumental sporting extravaganza.

Mark your calendars, as the World Cup, set to grace India’s arenas, is scheduled to transpire from October 5 to November 19. As the excitement continues to build, the changes made to the schedule promise a thrilling experience for all cricket fans.
