The new English Premier League 2022/23 season is coming this weekend, and teams are preparing their squads for new challenges and exciting matches ahead. Here is the list of predicted winners and losers of the 2022-23 season of EPL:
Champions: Manchester City
Manchester City have won 4 of the last five seasons, including the successful last season, and have now lifted six league titles in 11 seasons, making them the second most successful club in EPL. They made a couple of brilliant signings, with Raheem Sterling from City and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli following the on-loan exit of Romelu Lukaku. Aside from finishing third last season, they won the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup, and reached the finals of the FA Cup and EFL Cup–losing to Liverpool on penalties.
Look Out: Tottenham, Manchester United

With Conte’s arrival and the intense training that players have to go through under his management, Spurs are likely to clinch their first league title in 14 years. Meanwhile, Manchester United’s new boss Erik ten Hag, may finally reclaim their former glory. He started his era with a successful pre-season tour in Thailand and Australia. Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen are good additions to the team. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho trio also look good as well. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s future remains uncertain.
Mikel Arteta’s goal for this season is to finish fourth and make a Champions League return. The already-tired club were short on goals, scoring the second-fewest goals of any club that last season as they relied so much on inexperienced youth.
